Ar Tonelico 3 Stripping Powerups

Am I the only one who cares more about the plot than the fanservice? The last two games in the series had highly entertaining characters and well adapted plot. I really hope NIS brings it stateside but with the way of the current system I find it doubtful now. Anything that even has a semblance of children partially naked, under clothed, or even in a game with sex, nudity, partial nudity (it's almost like the ESRB does not even realize that kids begin to have sex at a much earlier age this is kind of ridiculous that people are trying to protect kids from something they themselves learned at the same age...makes sense) real, game, novel, picture, 2D, 3D, it does not matter but even talking about it could get someone carted off to jai-oh shit Chris Hansen!

God damn it, stop just talking about the releasing system. What about the ~10 different singers who will sing in this game? That's certainly more worthy news than "OMG YOU CAN MAKE THE GIRLS STRIP THIS GAME IS AWESOME."

The tacky nature of this game makes me not want to buy it. When a company has to use suck tacky fanservice to sell copies then I think they're desperate.

Hmm. I don't think anyone should have a problem with optional stripping of its characters, but I think it's a little overboard to make your characters stronger through this method. It may turn off some people, and when those same people meet up with a friend, they'll be asked "So why aren't the girls in their underwear yet?"

I don't think anyone would have a problem grinding in this game.

Gotta say, if I wasn't a wuss, I would now buy the game just for the stripping. That's a cool and erotic idea.

How is this a current revelation though? It's been known for months. I remember reading an article which talked about the director of the game (Might've been someone else) getting a standing ovation when he announced the only way the world could be saved was by these girls taking their clothes off. Made my day when I first read it.

As you level up, the less clothes you're gonna wear ?

Total reverse to ordinary RPG where they'll wear more clothings (armor & etc...)

Why do red type reyvatails always have bigger boobs than blue type? Oh well, I'll probably play through it eight times for all the girls anyways, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Also, I'm not sure if I understand, but is the stripping a direct result of the cosmosphere or is it separate, but also increases power (like the more clothes the harder the difficulty setting)? Or has that not been stated?

There's a saying 'The less it covers the higher the armor rating'. In this case it applies to power levels too.

Okay... no real offense, but really this whole direction is getting well past the ridiculousness of DOA Extreme and is just getting to pointlessly silly if not down right creepy in some instances. And I'm saying this as a guy who loves Ero and such.

I really wish I could say that they are not using this to sell the game and that it's all about the quality of the game underneath, but this series is turning into FF X-2 with a lolicon filter all over it.

Fanservice has it's place and eroge are all very well, but are they honestly expecting us to take this game seriously as a real RPG any more? The amount of effort they're putting into service is making me SERIOUSLY worried that they're not actually bothering with the game.

I'm not too happy about this. Playing this in front of your family seems too dangerous. Also, what I really want is a good RPG, not just fan service. Hopefully the gameplay doesn't disappoint me.
