wait wait wait guys... hold yer horses! why does everyone complain about the character design already? we have yet to know what this sora no woto is going to be about. from limited reviews out there, i found out that this anime is likely to be about music too. if so, then the art style is going to fit well, no?

i mean, sora no woto surely won't be anything like Gundam or GitS or Code Geass or Death Note or anything out there where moeblob style absolutely won't fit in.

So then, what is the cause for the decline? Current economic conditions?
I see what you mean when low budget = low quality, but this isn't necessarily the case. Shaft does seem pretty good stuff despite the budget they had, for example, Bakemonogatari.

Although... I wish they'd do different marketing strategies instead of trying to solely rely on DVD sales

Its by the same studio, naturally the style would be quite the same. Compare Gundam Seed with its earlier work of the same studio, like Fafner, scryed, the similarities is even greater.
As long as the storyline sticks to the (good)original work, and the animation is decent, I have no complaints.

I ended up dropping Kyou no Go no Ni TV due to the shit-tier animation quality...

Such a disappointment. I'd only seen the OVAs a couple months before the TV version came out, so it just made the quality drop that much worse.
