Masashi Kishimoto’s blockbuster hit Naruto has just celebrated its 10th anniversary, and the release of a “premium fan book” to celebrate this brings with it some spectacular, and not so spectacular, artistic renditions of Naruto from other mangaka.

The Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King) version made me go "Awwwww~! <3" (I've been a fan of Takei since the Shaman King manga's first tankoubon volume was published)

I do read the manga, and i do enjoy it, it's probably one of my favourite manga's of all time, but that doesn't mean im gonna start sucking Oda's cock and worship everything he does just because he's the one that did it.

Regardless of series, I always love seeing mangaka draw their take on other characters. It's quite refreshing. I enjoyed all of them.
I can't believe the artist of To Love Ru, a harem manga, comes in second... I'm not sure if it says more about his own talent, or his peers' lack thereof. Hahaha.

Obata's Naruto looks like Kisame.
Toriyama has perhaps the most ubiquitous style of any of the mangaka in that entire list. Doesn't leave much room for creative interpretation though; I look at his rendition of Naruto and I can see Goku, Chrono, that dude from Blue Dragon and so on -_-.
It's lacks the Naruto's version of Tetsuo Hara x.x

Araki has maintained a consistent level of quality in JoJo, because he is in fact immortal. Seriously, I've seen a montage of photos of him arranged chronologically, and he just does not age, ever. In fact, towards the end he actually seemed to get younger.

Toriyama's one is pretty epic, and he as really distinct style. Would be awesome if they stuck in a filler episode with Toriyama's Naruto in DBZ Kai or something. All these look pretty consistent as if Naruto was transplanted into any one of their mangas.
I'm disappointed with the Oda one though, his doesn't look like Naruto in the one piece world at all. Maybe his assistant did it?

they each got their own style, I like Kubos Naruto's face look like a more detailed Ichigos with the marks

All the mangaka involved in this seem to be people who have been published in JUMP ... they keept it in the family, I'd assume.
Uh, Rumiko already drew a version of Nartuo. He's called Inuyasha.
Kentaro Yabuki (To Love-Ru) is my favorite pic.
Then comes Takeshi Obata (Death Note).
In third comes good old Akira Toriyama.
I should finish the manga one day, but never the anime.

if you were observant you'd notice that _rukia_ looks like ichigo.
for those who are ill-versed in subtlety - Kubo's designs for many of his characters consist of same face palate and different hairstyle/tattoos/clothing to indicate difference in character.
this is true amongst characters of same/similar age, and differs as age increases (e.g. kenpachi etc)
Actually, Rukia has a more heart-shaped face, larger eyes and thinner eyebrows. The Strawberry also has more chin than her. Most of the characters have similar eyes though, but hey, it's his style.

The one from Obata is really nice, but i miss two artists: Takehiko Inoue and Kentaro Miura...I'd really like to know how that would look.
Let's not forget Masakazu Katsura (unless I'm misinformed and he's not from the same company), I would've liked to see something from him.

I don't think Obata's crap, nor is it my favorite (mine's Yabuki Kentaro's). I still think it looks very cool.
Also, he used a more "toned-down" drawing style for this one, similar to how he draws Bakuman. I DO prefer his "end-Hikaru-no-go" and "Death Note" style better, but I don't mind him using this one for Naruto.

I love Obata so fucking much. He is the sole purpose I bought all the Death Note volumes, because of the art.
Sometimes I like to pick them up and just watch the art, without actually paying attention to what's going on in the panels.
