Yeah but some pantsu and bikini in anime just look the same, as example shimapan and bikini bottoms with stripes.
Some things would have been censored in this episode, most noticeably the boob grabs and crotch shots. Those tend to get hit with errant sunbeams.

I have mixing feelings about Nyan Koi.
Don't like the harem aspect and too much distracting antics.
The pacing and main character's acknowledgement of their feelings is refreshing, for a harem anime though.

In the '80s and '90s, anime like Ranma 1/2 had uncensored topless-ness, nipples and all.
And in the '90s to early 2000's, anime had plot and didn't need fanservice to become popular.
Now, anime are back into pure fanservice mode to become popular. Nowadays I see not many anime having a good story/plot and little fanservice..
