Even in the west you couldn't believe how different even things like commercials were in the 80s. Some things were much more tolerated then, that would result by censors jumping in your ass if you tried to show it on TV today.

Actually it is depending on where you life. In europe as example you see in the most countries more nudity then years ago in TV.
Indeed, here you have commercials where promoting soap, shampoo, yoghurt, glasses (or sometimes anything) result in showing nude women.

I really liked the Misaki Itou, Kaori Ohara and Matsuda Foods ads. The kid collapsing after the "sabisu" was hilarious, too much blood rushing away from the brain.
