.....in the first pic, the girl looks great in the before part and only decent in the after part. Why would you not trust someone who tries to make themselves look worse? By the way, I've seen lots a people who looked very similar to the girl in the first before pic. Basically, the before part looks Russian, the after part Japanese (Don't get me wrong, there are lots of good looking Japanese girls).

the first picture is the 3d girl that can really be trusted. the "before" pic shows her with dyed hair and makeup to highlight her eyes more. the "after" pic shows her blonde dyed hair changed to a more darker tone - reflecting nearly natural japanese hair which is black. her hair also was somewhat curled in the "before" pic while in the "after" pic her hair was allowed to just hang out normally. and she was given a very small haircut for the bangs. her makeup was also removed hence giving you those actual pretty eyes that were hidden before because of eyeliners. "before" pic she doesn't smile but gives a sheepish mouth pose. in her "after" pic she smiles a bit highlighting her nice cheeks which is already there ever since she went for the gyaru look. all in all this girl was probably a girl with low self-esteem trying despearately to fit in when she was actually pretty in the first place and not realizing it. whoever posted that pic in 2ch must have a really weird perception IMO.

I have to be counter sexist and say that men are idealists and wish that they could find a girl they love, but end up finding only money grubbers, they just don't realise it 'till their partners get less attractive (thinking with the wrong head and all that), where women don't care about their partners and would always trade in for a richer model as soon as they can; the only reason they stay with men is because they get raises, if they were the type to say no to promotions then their wife would have left them.

I think women put on makeup because they have shorter shelf life, and feel the need to compete with younger, sweeter things.
Whereas a guy gets more and more comfortable with himself as he ages, and his wallet gets padded.
Sexist? Yes, but its a fact. Women need a man to love them in old age because women are romantic idealists, whereas men are only after sex and can just lure in young girls with their wealth to have casual sex and forget about it.

I have seen women who are like Suzumiya Haruhi when it comes to guys... only interested in Japanese and Korean style pretty boys, normal humans need not apply. And they gush over their media created "personalities" and "trivia" and dream about meeting their perfect gentlemen nice-guy pretty boy, and treat normal guys (as in 'natural' looking) around them as if they didnt exist. Yet, as a guy, I know that such a guy doesn't exist. In fact, if a guy went to the extent for looks, he usually has a scumbag kinda personality, which the infatuated girl can't see because she is willingly caught up in his acting. At least a guy knows that we like her looks she like our wallets! No illusions whatsoever.

You have an even narrower view of women, some girls never wear make-up, others do all the time, others only when they care to catch guys attentions (probably the only time you see them I would guess), some to catch girls' attentions of course (I'm not homophobic), others just for social occasions, and others to show off to their gal friends, it's like saying all men drive as expensive a car as they can afford, or wear the most expensive clothes; this just clearly isn't true, but if a woman would only meet guys when they're looking to pull then they could easily come to that conclusion, some of us don't even own cars (I have feet for a reason) and others wear cheaper (or at least cheaper looking) clothes all the time (or none, but they're even rarer). Go meet women in the real world, then you might see, there are all sorts of different women. I'm not sure if to advise going to a Ballet lesson, I do it and know there are all types of girls in my troupe, but I also am bound by the stigma which by all my experiences isn't true... But either way, maybe try a bingo hall, or some other place girls wouldn't expect to find guys, or wouldn't consider an important event, you'll see plenty of girls devoid of make-up.

Yeah, I would be willing too, I haven't met anyone with anything too adnormal, a large birth-mark is the best I've done, and we obviously didn't marry, but it was one of the best relationships I've ever had. I'll admit the girl I'm with now is very attractive, but that's simply because it's easier to get an attractive girl when you're attractive yourself, however it is a whole lot harder to find a girl with a good personality, and I basically found her through chasing stories of attractive friends of friends' bad relationship experiences (since most people don't look for personality, and in fact dislike it in a woman), she's flawed in other ways though, her memory problems make people assume she's an idiot (she's actually extremely intelligent, though I'll admit she doesn't apply herself well) and also make her seem sociably inept, making her unpresentable in that way instead; I obviously note this, if I didn't I'd lying to myself about the relationship, but I'm pretty sure I love her and am thinking of asking her to move in with me, and I probably would have done the same with Paulina in time had she not have me trailed in assumptions that I was cheating on her (here's the thing about not being shallow, it doesn't work out) which rather damaged the trust aspect of our relationship. Some people truly are only interested in the personality, I would say most people on this site do not fit this bill, but that does not mean you should dis-count that some of us do.

Exaggerate much? It is necessary for women to wear make-up to get in with certain social niches, that's it. It's just as necessary for men to do things for certain niches, like buying expensive cars, smoking expensive cigars, wearing expensive suits or hiring an expensive escort (sure some have real attractive girlfriends, but most of them are basically escorts in certain societies), both of these show a false image, simply not a physical one, just a monetary one, and a lot of women would call the guy who lives off crap to go to his high society group just as much a betrayer. To make it far in a society a woman must look a certain way, men must own a certain thing; to be the biggest geek I have to have a good computer, you just have to be mildly cute, but not enough to scare off the shy geeks, it's that simple, if we take however high society you must wear make-up and look slutty in a way you can pretend is 'ellegant', while I just need a woman who fits that bill, a large house, a wardrobe of designer suits, a sports car and a golf club membership; society expects certain things, you just have to have it to fit in; you can easily find a different area of society to join, just because you don't get into the high society doesn't mean you can't live.
