Antidepressants and Antipsychotic medications (and SSRI's) actually *cause* depression and lead to increased thoughts of suicide.

Among many, many other problems.

The drugs are the cause. People get sad (which is completely natural), and they go to a government approved drugdealer (psychiatrist) who gives them drugs which screw them up, make them more unhappy and suicidal. Then, the solution is more drugs.

not at all. ignoring the fact she harms herself is not going to stop her, it is generally not done for attention, I have self harmed for many years, it is only recently that anyone in my family has found out.

True, underlying mental health issues are abound, they are in my case with a history of childhood abuse, so please do not judge on what you do not truly understand.
