I'm glad somebody else liked Odin Sphere.

Unfortunately, the artist is taking a break from his manga CAT, and most illustrations because of University taking up lots of time. I hope he'll continue it soon though.

I'm always surprised to see Sankakucomplex telling me about an artist I have known about for years, Thats some Quality reporting right thar...

Beautiful art work! His style does borrow from other artist such as: Hiroaki Samura, French artist Jean Giraud "Moebius", Frank Frazetta (who hasn't), and the Frank Miller "Sin City" knockoff...

My problem is how skilled he is and yet still resorts to copying drawings off pages and covers of Blade of The Immortal, Ohikoshi and the infamous Love of Brute art book.

I understand just how impressive Hiroaki Samura's work is but why copy and rip off your influence and try to pass it as your own work?

Very very nice, especialy 06-11, they have some deeper meaning than the mere visage...

This artist actualy gave me hope, as I'm trying to produce in a very similar style (of course nowhere of his, but I'm trying)... I hope in a few years maybe my works will be visible to the public too, but till that day, I'd rather not post them (don't worry, I have enough 'critique' in my close zone).

Hafta say; I am impressed at the way the artist [almost] effortlessly dances between impressionism and manga. As if to any picture, any picture at all, were part of a sequence, said sequence could be either an eroge post-mo abstract or and intimal minimalistic ètude. The wide spectrum of representations these works bring into being... the various, almost dissonant perceptions those works translate... the seamful blend betwix traditional art and manga; which does not obfuscate the difference but rather coldly, even spartanly states it... no subtle nuances or shades but a contrast so clear it actually adds to the emotive power of each work. Half Cezanne, half Munch. A diffuminato that actually focuses, makes the picture more definite. A clear blur, oh the irony! Bravo, bravo I say!

Never thought of seeing GrimGrimoire among them...

Geisha pic 17 looks real alluring, mind me though if i thought she is a geisha...not sure.

He's a fav of mine from Deviant Art.

They deleted #11 -the four girls titled "Child Prostitutes"- after some moralist turds complained. A lot of fiery debate over that picture and it's banning. And I somehow doubt the message of his art, part of his "Erotica" series the ones that show prostitutes was advocating going to any prostitute esp. a child one...

Even considering its subject matter, they should have let it stay up. It truly has artistic value. It attracts and repulses at the same time. It arouses the feelings of lust, but at the same time is very sad. In short, it waves "Forbidden Fruit" but then makes aware the real consequences of it; that such an experience comes from the exploitation of an innocent, helpless girl and feeds criminals money she never sees.

Finally someone that sets himself apart from generic moe anime styles. His art is breathtaking, immersive and creates a great atmosphere.

First pic reminds me of the ragnarok online stalker class. :)
