Top eroge producer Circus, famous for Da Capo and others, recently suffered a major fire at one of their facilities.
Pictures of the “burnt out” Circus building and attendant fire engines quickly circulated on 2ch, causing many to fear the worst, but when Sankaku Complex raised the issue with an employee it was confirmed that although there had been a significant fire, it was at an “unmanned storehouse” distant from the main offices and there is “no effect” on their game production.
The cause and extent of the damage are still under investigation, though nobody was harmed in the blaze.

It's good that it wasn't a major fire and that no one was hurt. Still though, hopefully it'll raise awareness about this possibility among these small software companies, since they probably haven't spent all that much time thinking about "what could go wrong". So hopefully it's a lesson learned.
(That aside, Shuffle isn't by Circus, even though it was released in English by MangaGamer, so no real relation there.)
