Disney has apparently ruled out online distribution of its upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep on “copyright grounds,” a decision which certainly comes as a blow to Sony’s ill-received PSP Go…
A visitor to a recent PlayStation promotional event claims to have been told there would be no PSN download distribution:
“I asked an official and was told there would be no download version.
The reason was said to be because Disney is strict towards net distribution on copyright grounds.”
So much for the PSP Go…
Just why Disney would object to legal online distribution of its games on copyright grounds is not clear.

I love the idea for a internal harddrive in the Go (seeing how modding one into the PSP fat was too hard and worthless) but the system itself=fail.
I will be downloading this once it comes out for CFW.
Can anyone tell me what the release date is?
Hopefully this will be corrected. It'd be a huge blow to Sony (and myself, who likes having digital over UMD) to have that game restricted from digital distribution.

Anyone who buys the PSP GO! should be shot anyways... At least those with their old PSPs can still get some non-PSN action.

Wow. A bit harsh on other peoples (hardware) decisions aren't you? The GO was a good idea, just ill implemented and priced too high.
I guess, but the fact that they removed the UMD drive made everything chaotic when it came to getting your previous games. It probably would have done better if it had a UMD drive and you weren't forced to use the PSN.

good idea? i dunno. IMHO not without a UMD interface. otherwise it would have been a cool machine and no doubt open to all kinds of l337 haxx0rz (sic).
No intelligent person should buy a PSP Go with a cheaper 3000 out there, and the ability to get custom firmware to play whatever games you want.
If you already have a PSP 1000-3000, you should save your money for the PSP2, which will probably cost a lot($399 at least).
If sony priced the PSP2 higher than the current PS3 that'd just be epic fail on their part. =/
I doubt anyone would buy it unless it was REALLY over the top in terms of features. It would really have to be something else though. =/

The irony here is that the UMD versions will be ripped and distributed as ISOs for CFW users. Where as the PSP go can't even be hacked yet. Stupidity on Disney's part.
You don't need a PSP Go to play downloadable games. In any case there is no such thing as a pirate-proof game, whether it's on a UMD or digital content it will be cracked.
I don't give two shits about Kingdom Hearts but this is nothing more than a dick move on Disney's part. This will not stop the game from being pirated and they know it.

The exploit for the pspgo firmware 6.10 was released a couple days ago by freeplay.
freeplay's exploit was a Proof of concept... nothing actually useful, and it's already been patched in OFW 6.2o
