Well, I think it could be interpreted as "A 'genre' is used to denote differences. If every manga becomes ecchi then mentioning it is useless".
Now, such a generalization wouldn't be wise.

That's why Negima is cool to read. I mean, seeing the anime(referring to Mahou Sensei Negima!) skipped a lot of stuff and stopped while the manga is still ongoing. Good stuff Ken produces too. It's definitely recommended to read it, imo.

Neo Negima is a lost case of fanservice though.

    Lol...'just fanservice' and 'crappy plot'.

It seems like you didn't even bother reading it at all. I've seen more character development and twists in this manga series than a lot of other shonen genre of manga out there. It's far less generic than say Naruto or Bleach that's for sure. The details involved in the art is very impressive. Considering Akamatsu genre was just love comedy but now has expanded to martial arts, sci-fi, adventure and theoretical conundrums. The action scenes are very well detailed.

If you really believe this is just fanservice plus very generic plot. You sure haven't seen Queen's Blade and ilk...

I've been following this since discovering the sweet joys of Marshmallow Hell-o, and this was expected by a lot of the fan base, especially those who follow the manga.

    Chisame-chan clothes-dissolving tentacle play? Yes please! ^^

And for those who don't read much Akamatsu Ken-penned work, Love Hina was just about as ecchi, along with A.I. ga Tomaranai, his first project.

First season of Negima was a joke, and it was regarded as one of the poorest animation titles of all time. Not only the animation sucked, but they removed ALL fanservice (and if there was any, it didn't matter with such poor animation) and didn't even follow through the story of the manga toward the end.

Negima!? (or 2nd series as some calls it) got much better animation, however there was simply NO plot and I gave up eventually after about half-way through that serie.

Aside the overbright animation, it's actually pretty okay back then, I mean, I've really seen worse than that. It only followed the Kyoto arc correctly, then it went to love drama as it needed to end. Overall it's pretty good...

Even though it had no fanservice... I really doubt that sentence, but do take note the manga wasn't that far either back then. I wonder why people urge for fanservice if it can be awesome without.

I do agree about Neo Negima, although you'll have to prefer the animation style they've used. I didn't, as I'm pretty much used to the Negima! manga drawing anyway. It did have a plot of nothingness, even a lot of subbers dropped it. I guess they tried to overhype the fanservice in this spin-off.

And yeah, I don't call this the 2nd series, because it's some kind of alternate retelling. More fanservice, less plot, other animation style. Take your pick.

I don't know about anyone else, but all of Negima is win for me. Anime & Manga are awesome. The way I rate the first, first season of Negima I honestly think of it as a retelling of Negima, I know why people hated the first, but I honestly loved it. Then when they did the 2nd Season of Negima(more like 2nd version, than season) where they retold the storyline to where it somewhat matches the manga, but not entirely. But of course I loved it as well as the first version. I like to compare Negima like how I compare my Tenchi Muyo collections. First there was Tenchi Muyo! OAV 1-7 (I think), along with the special mihoshi episode with Kiyone, after you watch those episodes you were suppose to follow through to Tenchi Muyo! GXP about Tenchi's unlucky neighbor who gets accidently enlisted to the GXP, then you go back to OAVs again with Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Oh Ki (which is technically the 3rd session) where you get to find about a little more about the secrets of Tenchi's power and more about Washu, Tsunami and ...what's her name that was presumed to be the bad guy(err...girl). Then they're doing another Tenchi Muyo! Isekai No Seikaishi Monogatari which they say it's a part of this storyline about Tenchi's Half Brother (O_o;, I don't know how, but I'm sure production has a explanation)which is still being currently aired as of now which should be episode 9 on Nov. 20 real soon. So far, it feels like GXP, but it also feels like El-Hazard and Dual at the same time, but also a little bit like Photon too)
XD Sorry I'm a big fan of overblown long series with no end in sight XD

Many of these character designs may seem a bit bland and common on the outside but many have a much deeper personality if you actually read through the manga.

Negima is Ken's breakthrough comic after the insane popularity of Love Hina, itself a copycat genre based off Rumiko's Mansion Ikkoku manga.

The best part about Negima is that while it had started as as generic harem manga, it has slowly evolved into something much, much more. It is now part epic fantasy, part sci-fi, and part adventure.

As such, it appeal to a much wider variety of audience, and bar its inevitably lip service to its echi harem roots, I would put it on the same level as One Piece and the like.

Its a coming of age story with adventure, excitement, and... LOVE!

Unlike with DBZ's time chamber this one just adds an extra day not year so i'd say he's 12 at the OLDEST including that lets say he used it for several months he would be several months older and if he used it for a year he's be 1 year older seeing as he's been at mahora for only about 1 year theres no way he's older than twelve at most especially since he's only been using it for 6 months at most. He was also 9 and 3 quarters when he started working at mahora not ten so add that in and he's just shy of being 12 if he did use it for 6 months straight if not he's just 11 physically.
