And if you're really desperate, and can't get it from Ebay (though I don't think that should be a problem), you could always use Himeyashop.com or paletweb.com, which are japanese game stores (but in english) where you buy and import directly from Japan. Offcourse, it goes without saying, these sites are NOT cheap, so you should only use them as a last resort.
You can get one on ebay for cheap. Amazon JP sells it brand new as well.

And before anyone brings up Sony, keep in mind that blank BR disks are very expensive and most commercial burners can't burn PS3 disks properly.
This wont stop pirates from making a DVD disks with PS3 games in the future. They just need to figure out how to filter the garbage data. If you think that MGS4 really takes 50 GB you're majorly wrong. It's just have lots and lots of carefully placed garbage data to cunfuse pirates.

It has a 80 GB hard disk. Disks aren't the problem.
Maybe PS3 will pass out as the only console to be better played on emulators rather than modding for playing backups...
