A mother has been arrested for allegedly raping and sodomising her 14-year-old son.
The 40-year-old Utah woman lived together with her 14-year-old foster son, with whom she apparently enjoyed intimate relations, although she and her husband only became foster parents four months prior.
This all came to an end when a family member found the pair naked together in a bedroom.
The woman tried to blackmail the anonymous “family member” into keeping quiet, but they reported her anyway:
“You will ruin our family. I could go to jail, and if I do, I will kill myself.”
The boy opted to keep quiet in the face of police questioning, saying he “would protect the family and not get anyone in trouble.”
The woman did admit to being naked together with her son in a bedroom, which would have earnt her charges of lewdness.
However, child services then interviewed the boy’s sister, and she informed them that she was aware of her brother’s incestuous relationship with their mother.
Police would subsequently charge the mother with three counts of forcible sodomy, and two counts of rape.
The woman remains jailed, with bail set at $100,000.

That, and in the USA, if the child is under the age of consent (which varies by state, but this may be a felony if the child is not from the same state), then it is a statutory case, which means the child can't drop the case (as it would be prosecuted by, say, a district attorney, for example). Not a lawyer, but we studied this sort of thing in high-school in the most awesome class ever, street law.
