No, most of the stereotypes parodied are unique to anime. That doesn't mean anime is bad, just that the majority of it is crap.

The accurate portrayal that is bullshit? Lol. If Rockstar think they are clever for doing this they can think again because if these stereotypes aren't already obvious to you, you fail regardless. It's like poking fun Loony Toons for being random and funny... Or star wars for being a science fiction movie. Somewhat of a captain obvious effect? To me at least.

We used to watch Sci-Fi's anime week when they first started and showed A-ko and some other cool one offs. (I remember Lily C.A.T. really well actually)
