I know my dad used aluminum profiles to attach two lcd to each other for my brother, if you used it for this there would be no way it would break except of course if you crushed the screens itself. So as long as you don't decide to fall asleep on top of a well-built lcd-hime, and abstain from hitting her, I don't think you stand any risk of breaking it.
