A Sega otaku with perhaps the most complete collection of Dreamcast related goods ever assembled, including all the games ever released on the platform, has emerged on 2ch.
He admits to having tracked down every single title ever released (some at a cost of hundreds of dollars each) on Sega’s ill-fated but acclaimed Dreamcast system, although even he draws the line at acquiring every version of each game’s cover, or even odd games which were never publically distributed.

Too bad the Dreamcast's sales and thus Sega's hardware business were crushed by the PS2's marketing campaign it was a very problem free console as were all Sega consoles.

I was won over when I saw Phantasy Star Online played at a local games store, I snapped up the DC and PSO right there and then.

The Dreamcast was my favorite console. I had one I bought during the "Gut Dumping" period, where all the stores trashed them and the used shops had them stacked high due to PS2 anticipation. So for US$100 I got a system, a pile of games and a bunch of "Extras", like those modules...
Sadly, I lost this system when my apartment got burglarized... And, obviously, the Japanese market got the real cream of the crop of games...
Can't blame him. The Dreamcast was pretty fucking awesome. I don't know why it flopped...
Dreamcast was pure win at the time. It lost to the PS2 due to it's release date IIRC AND piracy was pretty open, since it's a simple play and burn.

Sega have released good and bad games, could say the same about any major publisher/developer.
Back in the day I managed to burn out my DC by playing PSO like a maniac, but Sega repaired it for me for 30 quid including P&P. These days it still gets some use for multiplayer gaming (powerstone2, doa2 and rush 2049), only single player titles I still touch on mine are Psyvariar 2 and the noiz2sa homebrew port. Still not finished Skies of Arcadia, actually...
I also played PSO like crazy for more than 6 month ,something like this work,sleep, eat,PSO for more than 6 month and never got tired

Dreamcast was a arcade machine and it did wonder to fighting game with a arcade perfect port (plus extra), it justify the game. Though short lived it has some of the most memorable games

Yes. I would. Dreamcast was one of the best systems to date. Simply for it's VMU. Also it had tools (Official and Non) to make custom VMU animations/some made games. It's still worked on to an extent. I mean if someone still pokes around at a NES/Atari even if for SnG. Why not a Dreamcast.

Truly sad when it came to an end.
For nostalgic purposes it's nice to pop in some SoulCalibur from time to time, it looked freaking awesome, leagues ahead of anything at the time.
