2ch Otaku Rooms

I like number 001 it looks like a mobile command centre built into the back of a truck who knows it just might be.
I also like #22 it's nice and roomy and has a nice post industrial look to it .

The first two-- which I shall refer to as 'cyberpunk mission control room' and 'cardboard castle', respectively --are my favorites.

I wish I could post pictures of my new apartment, but I'm still sort of moving in. ;<

Last night, I shot a panorama of one corner of the livingroom, before I cleaned it up and moved the rest of my arcade stuff in ;o (This was set up as more of a temporary test-bench)

My livingroom is part arcade, part production studio, and part screening room.

The bedroom (Hell, I just sleep in the livingroom anyway) has a workbench with a drill press and stuff, and a large work table with an array of electronic assembly, repair, and manufacturing equipment covering everything from simple soldering to hot-air rework and reflow ovens for surface mount soldering and small manufacturing runs.

The dining area off the kitchen is another large workspace. And the second bedroom is used for storage. It also has more than ample electrical infrastructure (Unlike my previous apartment) and I have wired a full network infrastructure as well, with the internet connection, router, switches, and a fileserver all in a closet.

It may not have ten grand worth of anime figures or 50k worth of computers, but it's my goddamn cave and I'm damned proud of it. :P

One of the things I liked most about the series 'The Grammar of Digital Pictures' was getting to see the workspaces of artists like okama, Yoshitoshi ABe, and Kozaki Yusuke.

One room apartments containing lots of wires, monitors, and figures are what constitute a hardcore otaku room, I gather.

I have to say I'm impressed with a lot of these rooms. My anime/manga collection is fractional compared to these guys, and yet it's still spread all over the place (albeit contained within box sets). I don't imagine my room is much larger than one you could get in Japan either.

Maybe they've discovered real hammerspace?

Any idea of what software is running on the main screen in #3?

My room does have three computers and three game consoles then I also have a room that's a lab/workshop.
I have some but not that many comics and my walls and floor are perfectly visable so I guess my room is more of a geek room then an Otaku room.

Why is half of the room look so....rich?

Well, most of these seem neater than your average otaku. Beer cans strewn about the floor, shitsack beds, etc. Sleek and modern.

The first few ones are just wow. And the last one...lol it's like a security camera room @_@

Oh some of them are truly amazing to the point I can't tell if they are photoshopped....for example the guy with the 24 screens, or the one with the turtle on the window, but the one I'd love to have is 22, for the space mainly

Thats it, i'm going to complete colege, and start working 25h per day (lol) just in order to have a fuck thousend of monitors pluged in a super hyper mighty morphing computer that is going to get outdated in just a couple of weeks.
And then at the next week, all i need to do is spend more a fuck thousend of bucks on upgrading my computer, and adding more monitors! Yay!

Seriously now, i'm really envious of the guy with those rooms with those awesum compters. =D
