Classic “cyber SF western” anime Trigun is set to return with a theatrical anime in the spring of 2010.
The movie will star Vash, Nicholas, Meryl and Milly as they struggle to prevent yet another city succumbing to the calamities which follow in Vash’s wake, much as with the original series.
The original seiyuu cast will be reprising their roles.
The TV anime was adapted from the manga serialised in Young King Ours in 1998, so just what prompted this sudden revival is not clear, but the movie will doubtless be welcomed by the many fans of this extremely well received series.

well there's one episode where the sniper is from about what.. a freakin far away in the dessert( the one from gung-ho) in the episode where wolfwood face his caretaker and vash chase this sniper guy

well.. appearance can be very detailed when it comes to 2d and 3d.. Just imagine Cloud's hair in FF7(game) and FF7AC. A well done movie for me for giving each character a well unique 3d appearance.

Much to everyone's chagrin, we later find out the director had a change of heart and turned it into a high school romance comedy that takes place in a alternate universe. Also the characters were redesigned to be more moe/loli to sell more figurines.

Do your research, before making assumptions. Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are completely different stories. Just because you see gangs and guns in a show doesn't mean it's the same.
Who cares, trigun was a bishounen fem who danced around a lot and was always taking off his shirt/walking around a desert.

Sadly, Trigun didn't to well in Japan. The western themed space gun action genre doesn't seem to fly over there. Same with cowboy bebop.
Trigun (and Bebop) both financially didn't take off until they hit the states.
I'm expecting the movie to do well once it comes over here to the US.
Well of corse, it doesnt have enough of stupid loli's (save for Ed, but she's not stupid), enough of silly battle tranformations and super moves. To sum it up, it lacked all the bad things the senen anime could have, it was simply to good for Japanese sissies.
LOL, yeah.. super moves in trigun is only angel arms, vash body( man those body are inhuman at first i thought than find out vash is not human afterall -.-) , and the gung-ho personel + wolfwood.
in bebop it was so natural( all the hi-tech stuff)that makes it so good
