At the end of the latest episode there is a preview, which pretty much confirms a 2nd season.
But the 2nd season of strike bitches will be airing before that.

cant you remember? Saki anime is not gonna make it because all animes in Gonzo are always ended up to 25 or 24.
They will be in season 2. Or maybe not.
Well, they're characters from a new school that appeared at the end of the show (as part of a preview of the Nationals to come in a probably future season), and (contrary to the article) they're not the characters from Saki in cosplay (i.e. that girl is not Yuuki). And the fact that most people didn't even notice probably says something... ^^;

Add Tetsuya to Akagi, another great mahjong series. Mahjong + guys + gambling + risk of death = WIN. Mahjong + high school girls+ no gambling + no risk of death = well, there better be lots of fan service cuz the actual mahjong will suck.
Honestly I agree, but only that the show can be hard to watch sometimes. I've watched 7 eps already, but it can just get a bit ridiculous on the drama over a game and I almost get that Yu-gi-oh feel from it. You know, the whole yay-you-made-a-good-move-everybody-raise-your-hand-if-you-care sort of thing.
Because obvioulsy a g-string hasnt been invented in the saki universe.
Not that it's that big of a deal to the point of the post, but it isn't the normal cast of Saki being portrayed in the shots above. It's the students from another school to presumably be featured in the yet-to-be-announced second season. So that's neither cosplay nor Yuuki... whether the cast was or wasn't wearing any all along notwithstanding...
