I live in the US, I own both a PS3 and a 360, and both are Japanese. I bought both in mid-2007. My 360 was manufactured in late-2006. My PS3 is a 60gb model, which are apparently the least reliable. My JP-360 got the RRoD about a year ago, MS repaired it for free (took about 1.5 weeks), and it’s still under warranty. If my JP-PS3 were to get the YLoD, I seriously doubt Sony would accept it, and even if they did I’d have to pay $150 and I’d lose all my data. I’d much rather get the RRoD again than get the YLoD. I get a little nervous whenever I turn my PS3 on or whenever a PS3 game freezes. By contrast, I’m kinda hoping my JP-360 gets the RRoD again soon, so they’ll renew my warranty.

  Calling it the yellow light of death is funny actually. Because thats ripping off the blue screen of death, and the red ring of doom microsoft had. A dude who had worked for microsoft is using terms people used to make fun of their products to make fun of another product, while I consider it a piece of junk, is a working piece of junk that I’ve never heard being bricked before this.
