The TRUTH is:
- There is this person called Nakamura Ine who is quite famous on the Nico Nico website (a large Japanese online community somewhat like Youtube), who turned out to be a minor (last year in high school) and also insinuated that he has something going on with a Kashiwagi Shiho.
- Now this Shiho was the wife of Yabuki Kentaro, the author of To-Love-Ru. She met Yabuki when he was looking for assistants, seduced him and ended up becoming his wife and gave birth to a daughter.
- But she hardly did any house work, neglected her daughter, and spent most of her days in front of a computer spending time in Nico Nico etc.
- January 2009, when Yabuki was sick with flu and bedridden, she kidnapped her own daughter and disappeared, and it turned out that she left her daughter at her parents' place while she was doing this and that with Ine.
- February 2009, Yabuki 'begged' Shiho to return for the sake of their daughter, and Shiho did return to Tokyo, but few days later she dropped out once again with the girl, this time taking a notebook computer and Yabuki's credit cards. Yabuki later stopped the cards, but a large sum of money was already taken out.
- Yabuki looked for them everywhere, but to no avail. March 2009, Shiho demanded a divorce on the grounds of personality clash and a large chunk of Yabuki's assets, but when the evidence of her infidelity was discovered on her computer, she then changed her stance and demanded money in exchange for the custody right of the daughter.
- Realizing it would take over a year to settle things, Yabuki accepted her conditions and got the daughter back.
- Haruna Sairenji was based on Kashiwagi Shiho, and there is a reason why her role was reduced dramatically since volume 13, and Yui getting more prominent. And apparently Shiho has sued/demanded more money for the character of Haruna recently.
- A comment of Yabuki's while this was all happening:
[While I was working hard on a manga that was focused on taking young girls' panties off, another man was taking my wife's panties off.]
- I forgot to mention that following the dispute over Haruna's character right, Yabuki feared his daughter getting hurt by all the debacle, so he accepted Shiho's demand yet again and ended the series prematurely.
- Haruna Sairenji was based on Kashiwagi Shiho, and there is a reason why her role was reduced dramatically since volume 13, and Yui getting more prominent. And apparently Shiho has sued/demanded more money for the character of Haruna recently.
This is why characters shouldn't be based on 3-dimensional whores...

Love Hina was always centered around 1 girl with small additions of samurai girl, the princess girl, sister girl and some other " " girl characters, unlike to-love-ru where the protagonist loves 1 girl, then other girl comes wants to marry him, so basically wimpy japanesse can't handle good-sad endings where someone is left out (not talking about something like 666)
At the very least it didn't end like Shuffle! I'm not sure how much worse it could possibly be than that.

Shuffle is just mediocre, me thinks. Even though the anime is stronger in its end than the visual novel, it's also a bit weak at the same time, and for many people disappointing.
It's pretty rare that the protagonist won't end up with the 'usual' female lead character, though.
I didn't mind Asa winning; what I didn't like is how they turned Kaide into a psycho bitch. They should have chopped Rin's balls off imho

Ichigo 100% - Junpei picks Tsukasa, and while I respect his decision and have much love for her I cannot begin to fathom how he could pass up on Satsuki the entire damn time. It was as if the only real choices were Tsukasa and Aya, and Satsuki was there to just be side entertainment.

Making the main character choose is pretty much defeating the purpose of a harem in the first place. The only true ending to a harem anime/manga is choose them all.
I dunno, remember shuffle? Rin ended up choosing one and casting the others aside, which then said "we wont give up Rin!" and are still after him, I thought that was a pretty good ending for a Harem.
That happens actually at 90% of all harem stories. Girls never give up, even if the male main character did even marry.

well if you can read japanese (including some kanji, not just the basics) you can tell he does not make it clear who he is confessing to.(from what i can tell) So you have yui confused, run doesn't say anything, nana tries to answer him with"a..atashi...", mikan says (ara ara/ yara yara take your pick) cant make out exactly what momo says and yeah.... this ending sucks, I want a continuation.

WIth all the anime and manga i have watched and read, only Shuffle had a ending. But they made sequeals for the game, which I have no clue what happenes in them, so even that may not be a complete ending, but with my experiance i've never seen a true ending.
Well, nowhere to go from here but the Tenchi Muyo route! Next stop, a confusing and disappointing continuation ten years from now.

I will miss To Love-Ru it was an good series for me. I enjoyed every charpter and waited each week MANNNN... I'm really sad now ...
I just wish Yabuki will continue doing an new series… Of course, with Mikan and Yami as spin-off main characters (the same way how he revived Eve and Kyoko from Black Cat in To Love-ru). ▬ω▬
P.S: We still have the OVAs (They further confirmed 3 of them before now officially cancel the manga);
P.S.S: Yabuki can continue releasing more To Love-Ru every month as it was originally.
Best ending would have been Lala's father nuking the entire planet and everyone on it, including his daughters.
