Classification is renai and is generally translated as a love simulation game. Where love in this case refers to relationship building. You go on dates, raise relationship meter, trigger her flag and get her ending. Variations exist but that is the essence of a renai game.

im@s is very much in the same catagory although to trigger her flag you need to get enough fans, idol rank and final concert success.
