I think the issue is that One Piece never caught on too well in North America. I blame 4Kids, so do most One Piece fans. People over here are just too, "Ninjas? WHERE OMGOMGOMGILOVENINJASSOMUCHBECAUSETHEY'REFOREIGNANDAWESOME" for it to catch on easily. My point being, Naruto is much more popular in English speaking countries. The Narutards are too busy flaming good series because they'd rather do that then sit through more fillers.
Yeah, I'm being a One Piece fanboy now, but if anyone takes the time to read the 550 chapters, they'll understand why it's so awesome, while Naruto's on a quality rollercoaster, sometimes, good, sometimes it's just plain terrible. Bleach is alright, just extremely slow paced. I don't see any other series that have had foreshadowing hundreds of chapters/episodes earlier.
The most ironic part? I just fell straight into the "stereotype" mentioned above, of the One Piece fan that writes an essay. This series is amazing, and if anyone hasn't read it yet, start. If you don't like it, oh well. Go back to watching your filler arcs.

I read all three regardless to see how each pans out and I can see why One Piece is always at the top & to be honest I've never got into One Piece when it used to be on TV because I thought it was childish. But one of my friends asked to watch the uncut Box Sets and I see One Piece in entirely different light (what the hell fox was thinking for editing the show like that back then). It reminds me when I rewatched dragon ball z in japanese. The same situation. I wonder if Blue Dragon was good, because I never got the chance to watch that one uncut if it's possible...

I still don't get why Naruto is in the Top 5 for both men and women in their 40s. Since Naruto came out about a decade ago, that means they would've been in their 30s. Somehow I don't think 30-somethings were ever Naruto's target demographic.

I adore Yatsubato. I'm glad it gets as much love as all these other manga. I'm a bit blown away by the Naruto popularity though. I can understand One Piece being on top, but I would always expect to see the Bleach on top of Naruto any day. Better art, better characterization, and a story that can actually be followed, plus a legit excuse for everyone to be using over the top magic and skills.
