Guys sorry to spoil your fun but actually this article is fake (It’s not Artefact’s fault, the source had just too many inaccuracies)

I am from Crete myself (actually not too far from Mallia where it happened) and no penis has anything to do with this case…

I think the British tourist fondled the woman’s breasts and buttocks and she poured her drink (sambuca to be precise) over him (his face not his lower parts). Whether she set him on fire is not actually certain yet (she claims that after pouring the drink on him she just left).

Sambuca is an extremely flammable drink (maybe I’m exaggerating a bit but it sure is easy to ignite) so it is actually possible for it to ignite if he went near a cigarette or something like that!

I don’t really consider what the tourist’s parents said to be true, since I really don’t think that a local would do something like that without some provocation… I won’t deny the possibility, but since I pretty much know what is going on at Mallia, the woman’s story is way more propable.

Actually there are a couple of places in Greece (one of them is Mallia) that have been “promoted” outside the country as places that you can go and “have fun”, get drunk, do whatever you want usually without having any penalties. For example the image of drunk tourists (both genders) getting partly undressed in public even in front of TV crews has become quite common there. Frankly it causes quite the nuisance to the locals and a lot have happened in the last couple of years (I remember an incident where a local shopkeeper was badly beaten because he just quibbled about their use of his rented scouter and wanted to take it back or something like that, I don’t remember correctly to be honest)…

Sorry for the long comment but I dislike misinformation even if it is just for fun.
