It's enjoyable, but I'm frankly a little baffled as to why it's so unbelievably popular. I don't think it's any funnier or more entertaining than something like, say, Hidamari (Sunshine) Sketch. I guess that's the KyoAni factor for you.

I would be surprised if it turnes out they have any long term projects planned... The most common strategy (reversed by Queesn's Blade) is to take advantage of the first wave of overflowing otaku interest and love for a series, by releasing a wave, equal in size, of expensive merchandise, having the series' popularity justify the 5 diggit price tag...Its almost test proof, with only a handfull of issues capable of rendering it useless; Quality being the decisive one and an example of lack of quality would be the ToraDora PVC scene...
