Fate/stay Night Unlimited Blade Works Movie Announced

The detailed announcement of the upcoming Fate/stay Night theatrical edition has been made public.
The movie will cover the Unlimited Blade Works arc, and is set to hit cinemas January 23rd, 2010.
The seiyuu cast from previous works are set to reprise their roles.
Fans will doubtless be curious to see whether this leads to a revival of the currently fairly moribund franchise…

This is going to be so epic i Hope they will make a second season perhaps a romance one with like fate/hollow atraxia or w/e.
I also hope that they will have the good ending instead of the true endaing cause i can't take any more sad endings!!
Maybe they'll make heavens feel movies but heavens feel for me is very very scary and stuff mostly cause of Zoken but still.

and not a single CGI dragon in sight....
So much potential this movie has, pray for the best but prepare for the worst..........
I hope they also try some flashbacks of Archer's "Hero life" as the idea of Shirou playing super hero amuses me :)
only 3 scenes I wanna see. 1. berserker breaking some unbreakable chains. 2. saber finally getting rin, a proper master, and totally gets maxed power and ready to pawn all. 3. shirou's moment of glory, where he as everyone else has already quoted: “Do you have enough blades in stock, King of Heroes?”

I finally get to see Archer vs Shirou and Lancer's moment of pure awesome.
I really don't understand why so many people like the UBW "good" end so much, calling it Saber's "good" end on top of that.
UBW good end is actually a bit depressing from Saber's point of view. The grail happens to be a different grail from what she sought, unable to fulfil her wish. In UBW she is pretty much a lost lamb who has lost her way of achieving her goal and she stays because she is curious of how Shirou and Rin would live the rest of their lives and that she might find a new conclusion by observing them considering the fact that Archer and Shirou had many similarities with Saber yet UBW Shirou chose to follow a different path. So in the end, in UBW she is a lost lamb who happens to have good friends.
In Fate she realized that her life was something worth being proud of and that all her hard work were far from being in vain. Fate is the only route were she reaches that conclusion and actually feels that she has lived a good/worthy life. And yes, she has already lived her life, the life of the King and it was a good one, so why is it sad that she died?
yes she lived a good life as she thought, but how her Kingdom never came to pass is what hurt her the most
But still.. I don't want saber-chan to die..!!! >.<
So I'm in for UBW!!
Besides.. it's the only arc where you can see Shirou unleashed his full battle potential without relying on saber!!

What bugs me is studio Deen - their Umineko is terrible, firs Fate was terrible and that can be terrible too. And it will be probably.
Rather than bashing Studio Deen, I'm just hoping the director and storyboard will be pulling their weight...
It's true that Studio Deen is kind of a let down, but I don't think they will get much freedom in tampering with the Type-Moon style. And quality wise they WILL have to bring forth something good, it's based on one of the most popular VNs after all. Fans wouldn't let them get away with Umineko-quality...

Really no point in showing Fate again. If they can't do it well in 24 episodes, I doubt they can do it better in 2 hours or so.
Isn't the UBW route about 3x as long as the Fate/Saber Route? I don't see how they'll pack the entire story in a 2 hour movie without skipping lots of stuff.

The Fate ending is a happy ending for Saber, even if it ultimately ends in her death. Honestly, defining "happy ending" simply as an ending where a character doesn't die and stays with Shirou is remarkably one-dimensional.
I bet he means happy end for Shirou, since he got flower in both hands for that One Sunny Days end of UBW, which is pretty win for me.

ufotable has expressed their interest (rabid fanboyism?) of Type-Moon works...would be interesting to hear their opinions on this. Though hearing an OVA for HF done by ufotable would be great, saving the best for last after all!

since they'll base it just on the UBW arc.
It was the series that is a failure,
because they combined all
the arcs together, and the H-scene was replaced by
a shitty unrelated dragon scene.
Hope they won't do it again for this movie.
