I don't agree that it's cheesy; I find it unique, and it's a large inspiration for my cartoons (though with less oh god that was like 8 paragraphs how can i read that in three seconds). My only problem with SHAFT is all the stupid things they add in because they think it's funny, like the expanded alaria, which I heard was not in the Maria Holic manga.

Bakemonogatari's art style is amazing to me. I wish more animators would do something similar.

Bakemonogatari is probably my favourite anime this season, primarily for the sharp dialogue, but the alternative art style works in its favour, too.

i must say shaft maintains great continuity with the original work of the manga yet adding stuff that's consistent with the series. plus the great ending eyecatches with different artists is always keen.

I found the expanding alaria hilarious.

What is certain is that we can expect something new and unexpected from Shaft! Whether good or bad, its still worthy of praise.

Yeah, Twilight ruined it the most for me. At my High School, I saw people wearing T-Shirts saying stuff like "Edward is my Husband" or "Vote Jacob and die." Every emo kid wore one and it was too the point where I would kill them if I could legally.

I used to like Vampire Knight, but the constant barrage from emo kids reading the manga trying to talk to me made me despise the series. Maybe Dance in the Vampire Bund won't have that problem for me though.

When The Cure did it, it was a good stage show, and free publicity. When anyone else, especially someone young, does it, it's just the KISS army with added wangst. And somehow vampires got thrown into the scene, maybe as a marketing gimmick. But it can't be helped.
