A fellow collaborator on one project wanted to use a bald, clean-shaven man for an art nude, but we couldn't find a bald man willing to help, so instead got an acquaintance to shave his 50's pencil pusher hairdo. He had quite a stunning mug either way.
The greater majority of seiyuu shown here do not fit the bill in that regard. Too many men who go for the effeminate look end up looking quite plain once you put their hair down and cut down on the bright lighting.

Some of these aren't that great, some are OK... but some (like Miyano Mamoru) are great~ The improvement is nice, although I wonder if getting idols to become seiyuu affects the overall talent pool.
