Im glad to see that the are maing one that will follow the UBW route if it follows the the story line in the game and it will be interesting to see whis ending they use it if is the true or good ending for the route. Personaly though i hope it is the good ending even thought the true ending is good as well. Also I would be nice if when it is released on DVD if it has anenglish voice track or at least true english sub-titles for those of us that live in english speaking countries and have become fans of the Fate/Stay Night game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UBW was kinda over rated, other than the epic fight between Archer and Shirou, tha was awesome but that still does not top HF and the action it contains and how can you deny Sakura and Saber Alter, also there is the epicness of Shirou's abilitys in this arch and how he oh yeah owned Dark Berserker in one Shot.

I so totally wish that could have been the case.

At the very least, I hope they'll make it slightly based on the manga version (which is also an UBW adaption) where Rider gets some extra well-deserved screen time as well as some additional awesomeness points. Her fate in the orifinal UBW route is just too sad and painful. =(

The movie will not have the ending that Unlimited Blade Works had. Shirou dies, Caster kills Rin, Illiya get's slain by Lancer, Gilgamesh gets turned to stone by Rider. And Rider will stand victorious, then have some hot lesbian sex with Caster, Taiga, Saber, and Sakura.

hm.. cant decide between UBW's Shirou vs Gilgamesh or HF's Nine Lives.
UBW also has Gar Lancer.
But HF has true Asassin..

id go with HF. Kirei is badass, the last fight is awesome.

I must agree with you in that Archer's History is very vague,although I'm sure it's not just 'Torn by the concept of having to sacrifice a few to save many' His principles that were destroyed, as I see it, were a bit different, but that can be argued. As for the believability, well... it was reasonable enough to me. I don't know. Perhaps I'm just a freak of nature. And does believability really matter in the first place? I mean, this game is Fantasy, after all. As for the fact that Fate and UBW were parallels, I must disagree on that one. While Saber's story.... it was good, although lacking in terms of engaging plot twists and the like. It felt like just Shiro against all the other masters. While in terms of character dynamics, UBW is more intricate and web-like. There is conflict amongst the other masters as well, which is not seen in Fate. Not that there aren't any regrettable parts of UBW that I hope they won't show in the movie. Like the Date. It completely broke the atmosphere for me. You claim that the servants "entered the Holy Grail War for the single purpose of erasing themselves from existence". You might find that contrived and dull. I, however, find it more or less ironic. These heroes that have spent a lifetime serving others and earning a place in legend as their reward, want nothing but to erase that very position. Is that not irony? I would very much like to hear your ideas on the matter, Anon, care to continue?

I must admit, my use of analogies is awkward at best, and I would greatly appreciate any input. I didn't use too much empirical evidence, I guess, but in this context, it is difficult to find any 'evidence', since events can be interpreted differently. It's probably because Archer's "emoness" and reason for wanting to kill his younger self seems altogether contrived and, as a result, is just irritating to many. His history is spoken in incredibly vague terms, about not being able to fulfill his version of what a hero should be like, and being torn by the concept of having to sacrifice a few to save many (that's really all you're told. it sounds like a rough synopsis more than anything). Believability is difficult to achieve under those terms. Archer's story is a parallel to Saber's story, where they both became heroic spirits because they felt they had not accomplished anything in their lives despite their efforts, and have entered the Holy Grail War for the single purpose of erasing themselves from existence. If you found the Fate arc dull, why is UBW any different? My only guess is that people love Tohsaka Rin that much (not that it's a bad thing).
