Wow, that CG is really professional. I'm really looking forward to this, especially if it's got a story to back it up.
The last thing I played was Saya no Uta and that had a great story. Actually, the sex scenes seemed a little over-the-top ... they're pertinent to the story, but it could also stand alone as an excellent mystery without it. I suppose that's the hallmark of a good Visual Novel.

Very well. It's basically a masterpiece.
Ever17 is simply the best story I've ever read.
I haven't read all of Kanon, but I can say for sure that Ever17 > Fate/stay night.
(It's one of the only two VNs I've rated '10' on vndb (the other being Umineko no Naku Koro ni).)
Fate/stay night > Ever 17 to me.
Ever17 lacks the excitement that FSN had.
Another recommended English translated VN IMO is Suika. For both translation and story.

At Otakon, we were selling body pillow covers for Kira Kira, but they just didn't sell, pretty good quality ones too...
On the bright side, the Da Capo merchandise sold well.
I would have definitely gone for the Kira Kira body pillows. Alas, I'm stuck in Oz so all I could do was cry when I saw the photos of all the nifties that were being sold. Hopefully they'll translate the followup to Kira Kira as well. ><b
I'll attest to the quality of the body pillow cover for Kira Kira. I bought one at Otakon, and now I have to go and buy a body pillow to put it on :)

Come to think of it, even though this news is late, I'd say it was probably for the best to come at this time. It would have been worse for some people who didn't know about MG to get this news earlier. I mean, it wouldn't be good if they got hyped up by MangaGamer's release of Kira Kira only to get bummed out later on by JAST's censorship of Kazoku Keikaku, you know?
The reason the news is late is because MangaGamer and their parent company all went to the US and didn't get back to us whilst they were there - in retrospect I should have gone ahead with the CG I had, but wasn't sure if I would get anything good back (the non-ero art you see is via their marketing department).
Well either way, it was great timing after that crap with Kazoku Keikaku.
I finished this game not too long ago.
Worth every penny despite the lack of quality control.

Ah! The one Overdrive game that I missed(not a big fan of the brand). Might consider picking this up if the translation is any decent.
It is, if you have played Ever17, know that the translation quality of this is better than that.
This is very old news, the game was released ages ago (way before Family Project, hell, even before it was announced Family Project would be released this soon), but I'm glad you posted about this anyways.
I'm currently playing it, and I must say, it's the best officially translated VN since Ever17 (which is simply impossible to beat). It's simply one of the best VNs I've ever played, and I'm very thankful to Mangagamer for releasing this.
All of you should play it; not just for the art (I personally don't care about art much, but Kira Kira's CGs serve nicely as wallpapers for my PC), but for the amazing writing. Somehow it just doesn't get boring even though the story seems to take AGES to complete.
lol, Ever17 is not that hard to beat, it does take a minimum of five runs through the game to get the final storyline though.

What I meant was that Ever17's story is so amazing that it's near impossible for any story to be better than it. Umineko currently has a chance of becoming better than Ever17 depending on what will happen in the answer arcs, but any 'normal masterpiece' simply isn't as good as Ever17.
Both Kira Kira and Ever17 have localizations that are pretty bad ('Murakami smiles big', 'You're stupidity is terminal'), but in both cases it's good enough to be able to read the story properly, and the flaws aren't too distracting.
Good thing that trap is being touched by a real women, otherwise the 100%-straight-male audience might be pissed off

This was released a while ago (I think last month) and its definitely worth getting/playing. I really hope MG releases KiraKira Curtain Call.

In average, one route will take several hours to play through. There are only two sex scenes in each route(or three, depending on one possible choice).
There's a lot more than sex to Kira Kira.

That and they only do downloads and charge far too much money. I might buy from them if they provided physical copies, but I'd certainly wait for reviews on their translation first.

It is fully uncensored, I have played it, completed it, and recently looked though these images and the Japanese CG pack, and there was nothing removed or censored.
