pc ARE superior if u like blowing thousands of dollars just to RUN a game that can be run on systems. and another few thousand to make it run smoothly. and then watch as u cant play new games in just a few months and haf to pay another few thousand dollars to play them. and the cycle continues. im not gona say that pcs are not superior, but i think everyone agrees that those that use them like that are complete shitheads.

Oh really? Well, I upgrade MY PC ONCE in 1,5 years, and that includes just buying a new video card for 150 bucks that last another 1,5 years, and I play alot of new games and I play it smoothly and enjoyable. How's that? Well that's because I'm not a graphical maniac (put simply - a shithead) who wants his games in hightest possible resolution, with anisotropic filtration and 16X antialising. I couldnt care less anout thoose things, so for me PC IS superior.

The only thing that disappoints me about PC gaming is that most of the clever, colorful, and unique games usually only get console releases.
(I'm still hoping for a port of Flower, dammit. I don't care how unlikely it is.)
I mean, when you consider the price at which a P[o]S 3 released initially (I SO CLEVER) it's hard for me to sympathize with that belief.
Of course, those two reasons put together are the main reason of all the current consoles, the Wii interests me the most (also price point). But meh, probably won't bother getting one and just keeping what I have.

Indeed, the PC has the advantage of doing many things besides gaming. However, I find a game console usually much easier to play games on (xept for FPS, RTS). I'm a PC freak, but when it comes to games such as Final Fantasy and fighting games...consoles are the way to go.

At the same time blowing that thousands of dollars to run game on a pc you can also use that said pc to make money and eat your delicious cake too. If your a console follower you can always get ps3 and xbox360 and just choose which games to get on which system you like it on.
Good thing I have all 3. Console don't really change every year so if your spending thousands of dollars might as well include a pcps3xbox360 all in one upgrade.

My current PC runs everything at pretty much maximum and cost less than a PS3 does.

Actually, I find console gaming pretty expensive. At least in my country consoles and games are pretty expensive, is better to invest in a good PC and get an Steam account.
Street Fighter IV here cost around 100 DLLS, Steam have it for 35 DLLS...
Yes, all games are made on computer, but how many of us really makes games on a daily basis. And I can make spreadsheet, type, surf internet...on a PC that cost around $300-400. unless you need to play games can last 6-7 years.
A console life span is around 6 years and a PC needs constant updating for parts that cost a lot when it first came out.
Unless you can make your computer by buying your own parts. A good gaming computer from retails cost 2,3K usually. Anything less you can play smoothly, but not on maximum setting without some sort of lag.

In the 80s there was a huge crash in video game industry and North America was heavily struck.
The Japanese people managed to make video game revive, but the result is that most games are released on consoles.
Why? Because Microsoft & Apple are both American, not Japanese.

I don't know about you, but I like Japanese games. While the west gives us manly games and Hannah Montana, Japan knows how to give the kind of girly games that appeal to men. If Kojima manages to convince everyone in Japan to think western, it would be the end of lolis in video games as we know it :(
But more seriously, just look at Crazy Taxi and other Japanese games from the nineties/early 00's. They have aged very well, because of their art style, despite the technology of the time. Compare with western games like Counter Strike -- you can pretty much "carbon date" a western game, but not a Japanese one. Heck, Kojima's into full motion video cutscenes, so what? I still like my textboxes and sprite overlays, thank you very much. If the Japanese are into "rules" of gaming, I love my rules, as any good sportsman of gaming should.

Indeed a good story, but fabricated. Indeed, consoles are and still is a good piece of hardware to put in your living room to play games, but can they kill off PC? Nope. And why? Because, all the games that are churned out on the consoles are generic shit that are recycled over and over and over and over again.
Indeed, some of the best games out there were taken from ideas of indie game makers that think outside the box. They don't care shit about what the console zombies wanted. And where can you create these masterpieces? Certainly not on consoles, where you have to pay the console makers rights to create games on them. If you think PC Gaming is dead, take a look at the indie gaming fest and think again.

First of all why are you comparing eroge with other proper games ?Eroge are PC limited special hentai games(of course their are DVD-PG also) and if you don't like them not my problem. Why is everybody comparing PC against consoles and how is gaming different on PC or console? Is it the graphic ? Is it the control or is it the loading time ? I think not, I think it's limitation, be it budget or fandom. PC is a multi-system and gaming is just a part of it and since not everybody has the same PC, compatibility and error are always an issue .So to fill in those gap console were created ,just gaming in mind ( aware of console now being more than just video game like our mobile phone).
Bottom line if you are a true gamer devote yourself to game rather than system that were true happiness lies (it ain't cheap though).
