  @Anon 18:57: people already hated that they couldn’t play all of their old games on the PS3, yet the system sold plenty. And there are more than enough people who bought old games via PSN. It will be the same with the PS4 :/ Either you keep your old hardware for older games, buy the same stuff for the new console or forsake those games…

  Nintendo would rather “remake” old games and sell them in their online-shop (didn’t the Wii do that already?), than making their console retro-compatible. Would be great to use your old cartridges again, but impossible hardware-wise AND Nintendo wouldn’t try something that doesn’t earn them money, so meh
