K-ON! Parody Madness

A pair of new K-ON! MADs have come onto Nico recently, quickly rising up to high spots on the Anime Rankings chart. They certainly deserve their popularity, although for differing reasons…

The first is a 15-minute long masterwork of a fan-episode, splicing together several episodes of the show with a ceaseless deluge of Clannad, Haruhi, and other otaku references constantly bombarding the dazed viewer. It is difficult to describe in words, so a viewing is most recommended.

The second is not nearly as insane, but still makes for a bewildering experience, taking the classic space-cowboy series Cowboy Bebop’s famous OP, “Tank”, and inserting the K-ON! girls in place of Spike and company…

Nekomimi & Pregnancy Banned in Eroge

One publisher of adult visual novels is reporting having to postpone store release of an apparently otherwise innocuous title involving animal ears and pregnancy, as “in future, it appears games featuring non-human heroines and pregnancy may not be allowed on sale in shops.”

They are apparently having to censor the game’s content in response to the recent “self-imposed” feminist-friendly censorship regime coming into effect.

Boris Vallejo “Golden Lover” Figure by Yamato

A new figure from maker Yamato, the “Golden Lover” comes from their Fantasy Figure Gallery line and is a rather atypical work for a Japanese figure producer, lacking any sort of anime styling and actually based on source art by Western artists.

Yamato is not new to this sort of thing, and so the result is quite impressive…
