Those uniform colors should REALLY be a bit more matte colored, perhaps a bit faded and earth toned, than bright to match the cartoon version.

I'm currently living in Japan, and in my city one of the highschool here have typically same sailor fuku as pictured, jus with sky-blue color.
so... Not really a new thing for me to see..LOL

Look at the top picture again. If they stay close to the original colors as they are used in the anime, then it won't be nearly as bad as the two cosplay versions shown.

Basing a school's uniforms off of Lucky Star's is like basing a school's art curriculum off of High School Musical: in five years, when it's no longer popular and everybody realizes how badly it sucked, it's going to bite them in the ass so, very hard.
