People watched toradora because Taiga was voiced by Rie Kugimiya. If they had anyone else voicing her then most people wouldn't have watched but people just love to point out the fact that Taiga is voiced by the same person that did Shana and Louise.

Munto is more story-driven than the others. The characters themselves are pretty forgettable, unlike Haruhi, Lucky Stars. Not to mention it is an original project by Kyoani, unless others which are more established popularity-wise in in other media, manga, eroge.
