Kuroshitsuji 2nd Season Announced

Demon-butler series Kuroshitsuji is confirmed for a 2nd season of the TV anime adaptation, according to a recent blog entry by seiyuu Junichi Suwabe (Fate/stay Night’s Archer, and Undertaker’s seiyuu in the first season) following a special promotional event held Sunday.
The following entry on Suwabe’s blog was made yesterday evening:

The entry was made following a special Kuroshitsuji event held earlier that same day at the Tokyo International Forum, where the news was apparently first revealed.
Suwabe’s blog entry has become the focus of the announcement rather than any reports from the event for some odd reason, but at least he was careful to make quite the stylish post about it.
The original 24-episode series only ended its first run this spring with the manga still ongoing, so fans of the Victorian-era supernatural-themed series have not had long to wait for the confirmation, and are understandably delighted by the news.

Just wanna say that the mangaka (Yana Toboso) of Kuroshitsuji also posted about the new season in her blog at "http://d-6th.com/blog/2009/06/post-75.php". It's extremely long though (O__O).
Anywhoo...I guess we'll soon see more of smexy Sebbastian...and Grell's hilarious yaoi antics xD.

Recently watched this anime, and I think that a continuation can not do.
In principle, it is clear - Sebastian took away the soul Ciel, they went to hell and so on, but suddenly it did not happen?

I'm hoping that rather than trying to continue the crappy anime-original story, they're just going to retcon most of season 1 and pick up where they left off in the manga. Though honestly, I'm not too keen on seeing the Circus Arc animated.
You know what? Even without having read the manga, the progression of the story didn't feel right to me, so I guess I was right when guessing that it wasn't following the manga. XD
Great, now I have to watch ANOTHER season of this...

The end of the show was like, so final and all with Ciel "dying". And isn't it a little too early to make a second season? There aren't that many volumes of manga out... It would be insane if they made another 24 episode series except this time completely anime original...

The manga is quite popular, and the TV series was fairly well received. Give the Wiki entry a look and see if it sounds like something you'd be interested in:

Ok, i guess i have a general idea of it after 33 chapters °L° it's like a mix of FMA and Hellsing, plus butler penis as Artefact state above o_ò awesome, in one word
The series is pretty lame. Basically filler from ep 1 with a lot of gay undertones throughout. I'm very surprised it got a second season.
The series was actually fine until it veered off from the manga. The manga is a fantastic piece of work, much better than the series. It'll be interesting to see what comes up in season two as Ciel's soul was taken in season one.
Kuroshitsuji is female orientated so the gay undertones aren't quite so odd.
And DO NOT compare Kuroshitsuji with Vampire and Rosario. The Kuroshitsuji anime may have been bad, but not to that degree.
I do have to agree. The manga is excellent, but the anime isn't so good when it comes to parts not in the manga itself.
Actually truthfully I think that Ceils Revenge hasn't been carried about and Sebastian with his wonderfully sick sense of humor was just fucking with him. and that he probley turned around and was like " You just got punked master" but yeah i think its going to take a awesome turn for the better.

Rosario Vampire got a second season, and it was completely garbage with all the female anatomy fan-service, but people like it. Sometimes a little more style with a simpler plot can be relaxing after watching so much anime that attempts to screw up your mind.

I don't know how I feel about this. I enjoyed the last series for a bit, a bit dissappointed now and then, but overall good. The ending was...good, very fitting of the anime and it was an END. So...not sure how the second season is going to work out.
