An Akihabara maid café has just begun a week long promotion for the upcoming release of the PSP version of Fate/Unlimited Codes.
As we have seen with the same café’s previous Chaos;Head event, this means liberally decorating the cafe with all sorts of series-related accessories and creating a new menu to create “image” dishes for certain characters, which can be seen below…
The impetus for the event is the June 18 release of Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable, the PSP port of last December’s PS2 version, which was mostly noticed for the supremely detailed Figma that was included with SP box of the game.
The restaurant, CURE Maid Café, has made these sort of promotional events into a habit, as they always seem to be converting the café into a new theme every few weeks.
This new Fate theme is a good example of what is usually done, although the fact the event only begun yesterday regrettably means that cosplay photos have yet to begun circulating online.
These images from the event’s opening last night should give the general gist though:
As always, a new menu is made for each event, with themed image plates and drinks aplenty. Here is a good portion of it, along with translations:
Father Kotomine’s Super Hot Asababa Donburi (¥1,000, Set ¥1,200)
A popular plate the last time we had it, Father Kotomine’s Super Hot maabou donburi (rice bowl) comes back even spicier!

Angra Mainyu Pasta (¥900, Set ¥1,100)
The image of the “World’s Holy Grail Mud” has been put into this black curry dish.
It has a mysterious bittersweet taste to it.
Archer’s Projection Plate (¥800, Set ¥1,000)
A spherical-cut potato and shrimp fry dish made to invoke Kanshou and Bakuya, this plate is liberally spread with red Italian sauce.

An ice cream with the flavor of coffee, this dessert represents Saber’s dazzling blonde locks in the caramel sauce and her pure hearted spirit in the color of the white ice cream.

The Fate/Unlimtied Codes Café event will last from June 12 to the 21st, so all Fate fans with an interest in maid cafés have but little time to make their own visit.

Yes! I missed the first Fate/UC maid cafe event, but this time I'll be there. The food look OK, the glasses looks great, and there is this secret guide on the net that explains how to raise all the flags for the secret maid scenes.

Other than Saber Lily's cake (doesn't Illya's more appropriate?), I can't see why such dishes are named after Fate characters. One can easily just bring in a plate of prawns marinated with red sauce and named it Matou Shinji's fingers..
actually the kotomine maabou was also from fate/unlimited codes as kotomine's ex mission. Not sure why it was there (didn't went thru the visual novel) though.
but the archer's projection thing, I don't understand it either =P
If memory serves me right, during the Heavens Feel scenario of FSN you can find Kotomine, sweating in delight as he gulps down Mappo Dofu at a Chinese restaurant.
As for Archer, one of his talents is to bring into being copies of the magical weapons he has seen as a Guardian throughout the course of time. These copies appear in his hands. When he invokes them, he is able to use them as effectively as their original owners. He often projects Kansho and Bakuya, two ancient scimitars,
"red Italian sauce" - I had "Italian sauce" when in Japan, it was watered down tomato paste. The Japanese version of Italian food is as ungenuine as "Chinese food" in South Carolina!

The food looks amazing! Never seen the kind of food they serve at maid cafes. It looks exquisite, although I'm sure that not every maid cafe has this quality of food available. Nice to see otaku eat pretty well :3
