Japan reporting very few of the actual cases is not something unexpected. In Japan so is the victim just as shunned as the perp. Sticking out is not approved of. This is the basis for the many subway molestations as well as the girls don't dare to speak up due to them being shamed as well if they are recognised. There have been surveys made on Japanese women and the number who have been molested at least once is very large. By contrast so would the same number in Sweden be very low.

Then there are the fact that the actual laws in Japan isn't very protective of women. While Sweden have a zero excuse for sex crimes so does Japan accept anything from invited into the apartment to walking alone at night as the victims own fault.

So Sweden is one of the safest places to live as woman and Japan is one of the unsafest, while it's the other way around if you are a sex criminal.

Hailing from Sweden myself, I have to say, this is a damn fun read, mostly because of the loltastic pikes being poked at Our Most Beloved Queen. Jokes aside, I´d like the Royal House of Sweden to be disbanded, and many Swedes share this opinion with me.
