At a glance, it looks great.

But is it just me? Some parts seem to be disproportionate, to be a full scale mock-up.

The thighs seem awfully narrow, and the arms are rahter short - aren't they?

But a great project none the less.

As for you naysayers,... the technology does exist to build a real Gundam Mech. Fully functional, except it won't be able to fly, no beam saber, and no independant power supply.
It would have to be on an umbilicle (tethered to its support power source).
The Myomer Artificial Muscles do exist, existing alloys can support its mass, guidance and operational software may be sketchy, but it can be adapted in time.

Well how much will it cost to build it?
Not a trillion dollars - no. But the approximate price for two AEGIS class missle cruisers most likely.

Of course if the JSDF did build a a squad - the Koreans might just pee their pants in envy first.

only head movement, smoke generators, and glowing lights don't make it operational assface.

when us Gundam fans say "operational", we mean if it can move/fly on its own power.

sure it's a sight to behold but all that gundam can do is just stand there and look pretty...and it doesn't even have a cockpit to sit in -_- if the thing opened up? even that would be a trip.
