Actually she was reincarnated in volume 8 of the mango, albeit without any memory of her past life.

I can't put my finger into the issue, but I "feel" that they won't make a "Ga-Rei" anime.

The purpose of Ga-Rei Zero was to completely tell the fans of the Ga-Rei manga "why" Kagura's a skilled, yet sexy exorcist; Who's this Yomi woman that's been creeping out Kagura; AND how the hell did they end up looking like that (applies to Yomi, etc).
But hopefully, they would. I'm a fan of the manga and it's quite amusing to see that I'm not the only one to give regards on how awesome this manga series is.
An Anime Adaptation would be for best.

So, if you went for a full crossover, you could have the school light music club who are actually a group of elite demon hunters, each with a spirit beast hidden in their instruments. One day, though, after an encounter with the evil barnacle demon, one of their members goes to the bad. Mio now slaughters her way through the school and has to be stopped at all costs. Are Yui, Ritsu, Mugi and Azusa willing to pay the ultimate price of never being able to eat Pocky again?

I can totally imagine mio becoming like evil yomi from the anime. Being endlessly embarassed/scared/made fun of by ritsu and/or the music club, mio cracks and tries to comically take revenge in a yomi-like way, with a facial expression similar to rocker sawa-sensei(but obviously not kill) on the club.

Haruhi novel is published by Kadokawa.
Haruhi anime is made by KyoAni.
KyoAni also animated K-ON (which is serialized on Manga Time Kirara)
so, by jumping from Kadokawa to KyoAni, crossover become possible.
