The airing of the second season of otaku maiden anime Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu was announced in the latest issue of Dengeki Bunko, the same issue which revealed news of a new Shakugan no Shana series, and it is set for an October airing.
As the first season certainly had its moments, fans of the show will likely be excited by the prospect of even more of the closet-otaku girl.

Hmmmmm is this series any good?... I was going to pick it up... I mean, a female otaku... (yes, I know what a fujoshi is). Seems quite appealing.
I thought it was pretty good, maid with the glasses is way awesome.
It wasn't anything super special awesome.. but it definitely was better than alot of other similar series I could name.
Meh, doesn't have to be anything super special awesome to deserve a viewing =P. As long as it's decent good, then it's all good.
And meido = so much win, so I guess it's worthwhile ^^
i kinda like this anime, very inspiring... poor dude got lucky to meet a rich princess who's an anime fan and fell in love, i'd be great if i'm the lucky guy.

You'd be stupid to be looking for a plot centred story in this though. It's supposed to be laid back/casual moe/ecchi. It succeeds at what it tried to do imo.

The 1st was only 1-cour, so it wouldn't take too long to watch.

Right now, my impression of it is it being Mikuru Asahina the anime with an otaku-ish flavor.
The girl reminds me so much of Mikuru, and the main guy is somewhat like Kyon,
I thought it was pretty bad... the series follows a hot-girl-like-dumb-guy fomula, the animation quality is subpar, and the character designs are rather bland...
...And IMO i can't stand Mamiko Noto's voice for Haruka.
YES. I was wondering why no one else seems to hate this show as much as me. Definitely hated Haruka's voice, plus something about the chara designs' coloring looked really hideous to me.
Yes, and not to mention a great nadeshiko milf character in addition to the Haruka & the maids . . .

Although the first season gives off a lame stereotype vibe, I found it to be appealingly sweet and surprisingly enjoyable in actual execution. The central couple is highly likeable and there are some amusing side characters, too. I'd put it a step above common otakucentric fare.

Ehhhh. The show was slightly better than decent imo, the character designs for most part were nice, but the story was was a little plain though. Hopefully this season will make it better
I was sold on the first season in the episode in which Haruka cosplayed as Shana and Hishoku no Sora was played in the background at the anime convention center they were at in the same episode.
Felt like it needed a sequal which I somewhat already speculated about together with a 3rd season of Shana.
I hated season one. The show had so much potential and completely blew it. Crappy artwork, crappy story, crappy characters! Now with that being said, I have hope that season 2 will prove me wrong.
I like how one of Nogizaka's breasts are slouching against the other.

The first season was shit. No plot, no character development, etc. Just another generic MOE SHIT show. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy every second of the new season.

Definitely! Despite the deceptively bland execution of the first season Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu plays out to be an enjoyable light-hearted series that's more about the slow but nevertheless beautiful development of Haruka and Yuuto's relationship. One that isn't plagued by the generic harem lead's flaws which are, indecisiveness, stupidity, lack of a spine among other things. The main character instead of being the representation of everything bad in a harem series is the exact opposite! (save that he isn't a perfect bishounen that excels from academics to sports)
As for Nogizaka Haruka herself, lovable lead. She's practically perfect in every way and despite oozing with moe she doesn't attempt to be cute, Haruka simply IS cute without even trying.
All in all I'm going to be looking forward to a spectacular sequel! Now if only fall wasn't months away.
Compare to other anime this is one of the best for the otaku genre. I mean you can't see lady otaku everyday you know..
