I tried working with MMD a couple of times. The amount of tweeking and such you have to do is too tediously confusing to me. I didn't have the concentration to even finish any sort of "movement"! Figure I'll wait til I have my 3ds Max class and learn some modeling and rigging to do something similar to this. Although, I don't think my instructors would be as enthusiastic about these kinds of projects.
I'm actually kind of sick of K-ON!... It's another one of those overrated animes that everyone goes crazy about. Like all the hype about Lucky Star, and it wasn't that good. There are alot of other animes out there that deserve this kind of attention...
it cant be helped. people are just suckers for moe and cute stuff. no matter how bad the story is, as long as people get to see their moe/cute characters do something, they will keep on making stuff like this.
if it helps, it will probably be out staged by another anime in the future.

Pretty fun, but some of the more complex moves looked a little mechanical. I suppose that's to be expected considering the way this was made.
I like how they included Mio's shimapan, at least in the second video -- the first one may have had them but it was a lot more subtle.
My favorite part of the song is when they say NYAA~~ and strikes the famous "Ranka Lee, I'm so MOE pose with a peace symbol".
A little pantsu wouldn't hurt though.

I like the second version much better... and I even liked the way they are well portioned verses the actual series..
I am NOT knocking - how - they look in the series...
But the feet (for me anyway) always were a bit of a contention for me, too narrowed and tapered for my taste.
But that's the way they are represented in the Animé form for the series. So, its not really a complaint.
But, I do like them better here...
