One of these days I want to see a list of the total amount of money series like Evangelion have made over the years with everything that has been put out for that series.
It would be interesting but if you do make a list like this you will probably see that the most selling series are probably Crayon shinchan, Pokemon and Conan. Kids don't watch Eva in Japan and if kids don't watch it it will never be number one in the "total amount of money" list.

Rei's like a zombie to me. And that's without mentioning that I don't find them so physically attractive beyond their faces. Motoko from GITS was even better. Out of classic babes from awesome anime, I don't know how the Eva women can even stand against the likes of Fujiko Mine and Faye Valentine, among others.
