I think it is just about what you expect from a show. Haruhi promised supernatural and mystery, and it didn’t meet some peoples expectations. But when you go and watch K-ON you know that the best you can expect is moemoe schoolgirls fooling around and occassionally playing some music.
So if you watch anime genres you actually like, a complex anime that you can expect more from can become shit more easily than a simple one with no particular happening.

  blinx01, you expect this from a nation what wants to speak English on their own language? (they have a whole alphabet for this,the katakana). Just listen to any Japanese, speaking english. Dhey just don’t care about right pronouncation, or thetune (or whatever) of the language. Altho, if they did, they could speak good English as well.
