Comment on Evangelion 1.11 Blu-ray Massively Remastered by TotalPigeon:

Heh, I read that as “Blurry Massively Remastered.” The irony that a format with high definition in its name gets beaten by a format one letter away from being called blurry.

On topic, this looks awesome. It’s been years since I last watched Evangelion.

Sorry, did you say something Gainax? We couldn’t hear you over the sound of all the different kinds of Rei and Asuka figures we produced and sold for big moneyz. -various figure corporations

Yeah, somehow in the cinema I thought it was awesome that you could almost only see the moving green glow-in-the-dark elements of Unit 01′s armor during the fight against Sachiel. I mean, both the sachiel fight and operation yashima are night scenes. I always thought they did it on purpose, if they wanted to make people see every detail they could have just addded in some searching-spotlights with their computer-software, probably a matter of minutes. But they did not so that they could later …

I bet in Japan there were people who watched it on television, then on vhs, then in the cinema (death and rebirth), then on laserdisc, then on dvd, then on dvd again (renewal/platinum/remastered), then in the cinema (1.00), then on DVD (1.01). Now they are going to watch it on bluray (1.11) again. For fun, you can also imagine them reading the recent manga chapters inbetween. Evangelion fans probably know the series better than the starwars fans know theirs in the US (although evangelion lacks …

Hey, you just made me wonder whether the DVD version is also going to get the contrast fixes.

Post is incorrect. Stock surge is due to inclusion of blu-ray. Gamers can be narrow minded quite often. Xbox and playstation are just divisions in much larger companies.

For me the real winner in this matter is my good ol’ PS2, which also plays PS1… and my computer with emulators of cartridge consoles with great games pre-2000s, when gaming was about gameplay, fun, great stories+characters, and the difficulty was high enough to replay over and over again. And there was no requirement of my mail address, personal data, bank account, any account at all… I played with family/friends on one console/TV, not online, there were neither social crap, nor …

So, my old 360 games have to be registered to an account… AND I have to pay for that? FYI, my account got hacked once and some fucktard abused it to buy DLC for a retarded Fifa game. Though I got my money back and stuff… it still sucked, and I never used my account info anywhere, I never bought a Gold subscription or played online… so I wasn’t at fault. Security where? And they want money from ME so that I can register my BOUGHT copies to an account that might get hacked, because they can …
