4chan Floods YouTube with Porn

Not satisfied with making their founder into the world’s most influential person, 4chan has flooded cat video sharing site YouTube with pornographic videos, declaring it “International Porn Day.”
The raid was orchestrated by the usual /b/ groupthink, with users infiltrating normal videos interspersed with pornographic content into YouTube, keeping them private and camouflaging them with normal sounding titles and tags, until the allotted day came and the videos were made public.
Google quickly set about deleting the offending videos, but with the process being manual it is thought many will linger for some time to come.
The mass media have quickly seized upon the story, giving 4chan the notoriety it craves. The BBC salivates over such gems as: “A user posted a comment saying: ‘I’m 12 years old and what is this?’”
Mass media sources have foolishly tried to tie the raid to some specific cause or grievance, but as usual with the site even its denizens have no idea why they are mindlessly following the latest meme.
In the spirit of mindless repetition which so animates 4chan, users appear already to be planning an inferior copy of their minor media sensation. Some of their deranged rambling does may make entertaining reading:
“It’s not worth it for the videos getting deleted after about 5 minutes. But we can post comments saying ebaumsftw etc. And remember, if anybody gets approached by the media say that you are from ebaum’s not 4chan, faggots!”
“The plan is to do it on the 13th dumb faggots, so it will be on a Saturday and more kids will see the porn. Stick with the plan faggots”

It seems unlikely their second effort will enjoy more success than the first…
It is not clear why they are so keen ontheir half-baked attempt to shift the blame onto another site…

Don't give the moral terrorists an excuse to sick their governments on youtube. The last thing we need is to have every video inspected before they're made public. Something like that would give YouTube an excuse to allow their partners more perks, like getting their videos approved first or something.
On the video inspection, maybe that's a good thing. Sometimes you have to push the issue otherwise you have to live a world full of half-assed compromises. If we believe in freedom of speech, then it would eventually win at the end.

There's an enormous difference between little child pranks and storming a site frequent by people of all ages, with tags such as "Jonas Brothers" with videos that actually contain porn.
I'm not moralist, just reasonable. I don't mind porn, but I sure as hell wouldn't want my 5 year old kids browsing youtube and then finding hardcore porn on their videos. That's unfair. Even if didn't changed the perception of sex of my kids forever, no one has the right to force such things upon another people without their consent. Even if just only one child was traumatized/tried to recreate the scenes/etc it would still be absurd.
Also, nice way to contribute to net neutrality, to freedom in the internet. This just gives moralistic conservative people more reasons to undermine internet freedom and free speech.
I'm a hikikomori myself, but I think you should go out sometimes. Your thought is clearly distorted if you aren't able to think that not everything is "taken for the lulz" and everyone not agreeing is being "butthurt"/"weak". People are different, and you can't expect to try to force your patterns upon all people. The same way one person couldn't care/think it's funny/ignore it, there may be childs/old people/humans/whatever that may be traumatized. Just because you aren't affected don't think it's right to label everyone who thinks otherwise as being weak/butthurt. The level of sensibility varies within humans and within societies. You could say someone is weak, according to our modern standards, if some adult cried because his mother took something away from him. But this is clearly over the top, and not everyone will be able to sustain something such as this (nor they have to, it's completely different than my previous example). Be reasonable. You can't be arrogant enough to only apply your personal standards universally. Society is made up of a lot of individuals, and you must be able to be flexible or understanding, otherwise you seem to be mentally impaired.
This is all sounding like a heroic speech, but I don't care, it's just what I think.

Don't apply your own standards universally like they were somehow better (not just different), and somehow possible (since people are different, one's own standard will never be appliable universally). Take into account that the world is not only about you and what you think, and natural differences should be respected.

I personally find this highly amusing. I love /b/'s actions some times, and this one's actually pretty funny, especially in comparison to a lot of their other ones.
