There is little historical evidence that the “Ninja” class existed. There were Japanese assassins, sure, but there were assassins in every country through the world’s history.
People love to point Mansen Shukai (1676) as evidence. However, just because it was written in 1676 doesn’t make it historical proof. The Mansen Shukai (万川集海) is not history; just read the table of contents and you can tell that much. It’s a compilation of “ninjutsu” techniques, kind of like a martial arts manual. Considering that the term “ninjutsu” wasn’t even really coined until after the Edo period started, that makes it suspect to start with. Remember, specialized martial art “schools” in Japan with their “kata” and “waza” were quite rare pre-Edo, and barring a handful, didn’t exist–people trained in overall military matters (horsemanship, spearmanship, riflery, etc) like modern “boot camp” instead of specializing in one “jutsu” exclusively. It wasn’t until the peace of the Edo (and hence, the lack of a need for any “ninja” in the first place) that martial arts changed from pure military training to the kind of strict codified martial arts we see today. That doesn’t make the Mansen Shukai useless–it’s valuable in learning how the Sengoku/Momoyama equivalent of “special ops” would be undertaken, but it doesn’t make a single step towards proving the existence of ninja clans training in the mountains and hiring their services out to whatever samurai would take them. Nobody denies that ninja in the form of “regular samurai performing espionage missions” existed; it’s the “separate” clans of “ninja” that focused solely on training in “ninjutsu” and hiring themselves out like mercenaries that is highly suspect.

Naruto is actually kinda good, considering how after 1000000000000000 episodes it's still watchable.
It is good, but it follows the rule of "everything in moderation." If you read all the volumes one after the other, you'll quickly find it repetitive, but if you take it in small doses, it's an excellent comedy. I like the extra stories about the weird twin sisters in the later volumes best.

Well, I saw the Kojikan animu, and some episode of Bamboo Blade, they was just massive fanservices, nothing remarkable at all. The manga of Kojikan was actually good, but I don't think it's underrated. Not everyone are lolicons, like us... :P

If a character book sells like that (mind you, it is NOT the actual manga >.>), it must mean that the manga itself should sell pretty well, and the release of tanks on Japan varies from series to series.
An example of this is the release of One piece 53 8 weeks before Naruto 46, so a new volume of Gintama should be around the corner =)
(And probably be on the top 10 when it happens).
This list almost makes me want to cry in anguish- there are very few titles that are deserving to be on the charts.
Screw the charts. Just because Naruto sold a bit more quicker occasionally doesn't mean crap. One Piece sells more than Naruto and Bleach combined-quite literally-consistently. This one chart means nothing.
This is my opinion. I have lots of friends who aren't REALLY into anime (like watch every series that airs), but they have read Naruto and they really like it.
However, I on the otherhand watch like everything and read a lot so I just find it kind of average or normal.

Dude, Onemanga is an ENGLISH site, and English is not The World's Language... I mean, it could be an standard (I'm Mexican) but look at the charts from other sites, Naruto is a really awesome manga, but One Piece rulz over Italy, France, and Spain (And of course, Japan), and if it is so fucked up in the US, it's just 'cause those shitty 4kidz censored it.
Just as an example, to read ANY manga, I recomend my spanish-speaking friends to read it in OneManga... I've got the same response from every one of them: "Neh! Está en Inglés! No le entiendo..." ("Neh, It's in English, I don't understand it...")
