    I love this show. Ever since episode #1 it's been a nice surprise. My fav is Saki from episode #3 with the cheerleader outfits. Plus, I love the opening song as it's from "Sphere".

    I think they react more to moe characters, loli, cosplay, and animated song and dance sequences, all with or without fanservice.

    After reading this news, i remember reading the manga some months ago. I like how character are designed, but that was in 100% ichigo aswell; i decided to give it a try as an anime, and watched all the five episodes there are. This is really good. Good songs, good dub, funny scene and a fair amount of fanservice, with a good plot. Also, when comparing it with 100% ichigo, you don't find an idiot main character who should gangbanged in the middle of the green of the superbowl's finale, between angry armored gorillas clashing for the ball possession. there are a lot of characters, noone of them stands out too much and they are all enjoyable, having particular traits that make them all interesting. Really this is a good show, one of the best in the genre.

    While watching this the thought of DVD extras came to mind. Side effect of Sankaku.

    This anime looks poised to not go down the path of its predecessor, Ichigo 100%.

    Yeah, same thought came to mind here.

    Although there's a bit more pantsu than oppai in this anime - it just happens that this episode was all about this girl's breasts.

    90% of the people that say fan service sucks are gals, 9% are gay, and the rest... most likely retarded.
    I do agree though, that I dislike huge breasts like those quite a bit... Yamamoto's are just perfect, while Watase's... well, not so fine :P

    why can't good anime and fanservice become one? why can't there be sexy anime that can get you off and be intelligent at the same time?

    This isn't only a problem with the ideology of most anime fans, though, but also the anime creators.

    there's GitS, for example, that is a deep intelligent anime with some ok nudity

    I liked Mnemosyne. It was pretty good (dark and sexy), had a retro feel to it, but something about the way it eventually played out left me less than satisfied. :shrugs:

    Heard about galaxy angels,vandread and all that shit? In any case, the only things i clearly remember from that year were the bebop movie and the epic spirited away.

    Also, IIRC the new millenium was the start of the growth spurt of anime, but it was also the start of the invasion of mindless fanservice.

    I never said fanservice and good anime can't mix, the problem is, in these times the balance is tipping more to the side of fanservice. There's no balance, and most of the nudity is uncalled for/not merited.

    Fanservice anime is in it's own category, like hentai is. If you can see an anime will be obviously full of fanservice, just ignore it and wait for something more of your taste. I'm sure there is still a good anime or two even this day in age. GitS SAC was made after 2001, for example. Good things are just harder to come by, it's pretty much always been that way with everything. It's probably just your perspective.

    if they make fanservice anime more today than ever before, then it must mean it's because they're successful to some significant extent. an anime publisher/producer/director has the choice of going for easy profit with an ecchi anime or actually trying to make a good anime with a risk of great success or fail. the amount of ecchi anime in the market shouldn't have an impact on that person's decision...

    also sayonara zetsubou sensei is good, and gets a fair amount of fanservice here and there.

    i've watched a few other animes, but they were just not worth. i agree with the fact that the "old ones" with poor graphic and less pantsu were amazingly better; it may be because i grew watching them, but it can't be the only reason. As a matter of fact, also, robot disappeared from modern animes. abnormal situations are not there anymore, it's just school life for the most. And this is kind of disturbing.

    bwahahaha, fanservice has been working on killing anime for a lot longer than that. Even before Lupin IIIrd, I'd say. Now whether it's been successful since 2001(or ever for that matter) is open to debate.

    I don't really understand why you guys compare Hatsukoi with Ichigo 100%.
    Frankly, I'm not fan of fapservice-based animu, and I think that Ichigo is shit. However, Hatsukoi seems to me quite an interesting and pleasant anime .

    The mangas for Ichigo 100% and Hatsukoi Unlimited are done by the same Manga-ka. That's why they are compared/mentioned together a lot.
