Queen's Blade is amazingly fun for me. Yeah, so I want to chime in with my own Queen's Blade love. I too do not relate to the decision of some of these people to take time to show us how they think that they are too noble to respect the fact that Queen's Blade has an audience that wants exactly what it's giving to them.
And, of course, whatever, Queen's Blade has a severely niche market, and it's a niche market who has a massive hunger for exactly what it has to offer. Of course, I wish the nay-saryers didn't feel that way, because if the market I represent were bigger perhaps we would have more Queen's Blades and higher production values...
But anyway, for the people that don't understand Queen's Blade, it wasn't made for you, so please don't waiste our time. What's worse, some of these people are probably hypocrits...
Really, some people are just over exaggerating the fact. out of 20+ minutes probably one or two minutes all together show ecchi. I never saw this many people complain about Kanokon and that had a similarly bad plot and every episode nearly had a sex scene.
And holy shit, no glimpse of Cattleya in the next episode! :( Not even Melpha. After the next one there's only 4 episode left. They still have to introduce:

Elinor
Melpha
Cattleya + Rana
Nix (she had a 5 second scene in EP3 though)

Really? lol, I never watch raws all that properly, always tending to skip non-ecchi scenes forward to get to more ecchi scenes. If they showed them in the preview for 08 then I must really have been only looking for Cattleya, wow. Well good, maybe they'll be in the next one. I've been waiting for Irma too with her cool eyes and shitapai, and more Erina/Elinor will probably bring some more sister-sister borderline incest yuri to the table... lol, what a crazy show.
This show has got to be longer. The OVAs won't be enough. This anime just seems so LOTR influenced for me, with all the friendship pairings and splitting ups during the adventure, and LOTR was damn long. I just don't see how they can make it satisfying. I can't wait to find out the ratings for this show, maybe there will be a good chance of a season 2.

This anime is not half bad, mostly because of cool looking characters. Pure fanservice yes but I don't get why all the hate? It seems to me that some of you are pissed because i'ts not pure hentai or the fact that there aren't any male characters (hence the yuri=fail kinda signs). If you want plot there are thousands of anime out there and if you want good fighting watch Naruto or Bleach. This is not that kind of anime.

It seems to be fashionable to rubbish Queen's Blade of late, yet that does not stop the series from being wildly popular, to say nothing of the hundreds of thousands of hits these articles have garnered.

What is it with all the stupid incompetents flaming Queen's Blade when they 5 minutes later applaud To Love-Ru, Strike Witches or any other random pantsu/boing anime with a joke called story.
Queen's Blade is just doing the same thing, but doesn't try to hide it.
Part of the reason some people watch QB may be because of the adventure and other world, every episode being in a new, nicely drawn setting. There's the lush forest with some LotR influences (don't tell me I'm the only one that caught that in this ep, lol), there's the massive ancient isolated pyramid in a hot sandy dessert, etc.
And some people find it hotter to see tough, mature women being casually exposed with little to no attention to it or embarrassment. It's no different from people liking To Love-ru to see ecchi in a regular school-life drama. Personally, I can't stand school dramas and schoolgirl characters. If I see even one scene in an anime where a girl accidentally ends up exposing herself to an unsuspecting guy and proceeds to call him "baka hentai" and smashes him for it, I stop watching.

I watch To Love-Ru because I lke that sort of school life drama, obviously the echi parts are part of the reason too, but it's not as untasteful as Queen's Blade
The only time I've seen some echi in Queen's Blade that I didn't mind was the images in the ED

Anyways, I haven't seen any hentai with good stories at all. There's the overly serious and somewhat realistic ones that usually have blood and rape in them, and there's the ones that have absolutely insane plots full of tentacle monsters, other than that there's the ones with big boobs full of romance, fun and even comedy but no plot that serves any purpose other than to make things even hotter (which is what I prefer). If you say a hentai can have a good story according to it's genre, then I can just as well say QB has a great story for an ecchi anime.

You guys don't understand. Some people find ecchi hotter than hentai because they don't go all the way. In hentai they might just make all the characters naked from the get go and have them fuck eachother to kill eachother (like in Angel Blade, which I hate even though i love Masami Obari's work). It's like when people say they find a woman sexier when she has sexy clothes on rather than naked. It's why strip teases rock so much.
