Feh, some people are ridiculously over-sensitive. It's not a gaping wound, so learn to live with it. The exact same argument has been used for people with scars from some accident, or any tattoos (I'm mainly thinking of discrete or artsy pretty ones) or any piercings. "Ewwwwww! Why do these idiots not cover up so that we don't have to catch any glimpses of their skin!" This is a pretty retarded reaction especially to the first category: Shit happens, just because people have accidents and then heal doesn't mean they no longer deserve to be an accepted part of society. Compare humans now to the way many looked like during the middle ages: A lot of people were pock-marked, coarse skin. Any handicapped people looked a lot worse, too.
That said, I never could comprehend why on earth some do their best to get skin cancer. Haven't these people heard of sunscreen, optical blockers to be precise?
